Notes
part is null because the vendor title already carries SHT31; the Sensirion SHT3x data sheet is linked anyway, as the Thing Plus entries do. DFRobot does not publish an address for the assembled probe and the cable breaks out no ADDR pin, so addresses is empty and the 0x44/0x45 options are described in ai_context only. No pull-up value is claimed for the probe: the 10 kOhm example is the data sheet's, not the vendor's fitted value. The cable's SDA/SCL order differs from the SEN0546 probe's, so check the wire colours rather than copying a harness.
AI context
Dense context for pasting into a model prompt — addresses, pinout, voltages, tolerances and the vendor's reference circuit.
PART: DFRobot SHT31 Outdoor Temperature & Humidity Sensor, SKU SEN0385. A Sensirion SHT3x humidity and temperature sensor in a weather-proof PE enclosure on about 1 m of four-wire cable. part is null because the vendor's own title already carries SHT31; the Sensirion SHT3x data sheet is still linked. SUPPLY: 3.3 V to 5 V from the vendor, operating current below 1.5 mA. The SHT3x silicon itself runs from 2.15 V to 5.5 V, so the 5 V board rating is inside the chip's own range. MEASUREMENT: humidity 0 to 100 %RH at +/-2 %RH (25 C); temperature -40 C to 125 C at +/-0.2 C over 0 C to 90 C typical. DFRobot's compliance figure is +/-2 %RH over the full 0-100 %RH span. PINOUT: pad 1 VCC (red wire), pad 2 GND (black), pad 3 SDA (green wire), pad 4 SCL (yellow wire). Note that this cable order is SDA-then-SCL, the reverse of the SEN0546 probe's SCL-then-SDA order. I2C ADDRESS: the cable exposes no ADDR pin, so the module's address is fixed on the board and DFRobot publishes no value for it. The SHT3x sets 0x44 when ADDR is low (its default) and 0x45 when ADDR is high, and the data sheet says ADDR must not be left floating. Scan the bus. REFERENCE CIRCUIT: The SHT3x data sheet requires pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL - it gives Rp = 10 kOhm as its example - and DFRobot publishes no value or fitted pull-up for this probe, so an external 10 kOhm pair per bus is assumed to be needed rather than confirmed. TRAPS: (1) DFRobot says not to site the probe above 80 C because the shell is PE, even though the sensor is rated to 125 C. (2) It is weather-proof, not submersible - the vendor recommends its DS18B20 probe for in-water measurement. (3) The cable is 1 m, so bus capacitance and pull-up choice matter more than on a 10 cm breakout.
